Major Types of Industrial Filters

The manufacturing sector is the one sector, which is getting bigger and bigger with the passing of each day. Typically, what you find in manufacturing units is machines of different sizes, shapes, designs and also differ in their strengths. These machines are helpful in accomplishing any kind of task with much ease. Other than machines, there is other equipment used and an industrial filter is one of them.
Industrial filters

Industrial filters have an important role in the manufacturing sector as without them you can't achieve success. Before going further, you must be familiar with them and know the main purpose of using them. So an industrial filter is used in any system to separate solid from fluid and all that is done through creating a medium that allows only fluid to pass through it. There are different types of filters and each work differently, however, the objective of each one is to separate the contaminants in the medium.

Below listed are the major types of industrial filters:
  • Air Filter – As clear from its name, the main purpose of using this filter is to separate the pollutants from the air and make it clean and clear. These are commonly used in homes, construction sites and manufacturing units.
  • Bag Filter – This filter is used in applications where you need to remove large solids from the fluids such as ink, coolant. When the mixture is passed through this, the solid impurities will be caught and the fluid will pass.
  • Hydraulic Filter – This filter is used to purify petrol and petroleum products. These are mainly found in hydraulic systems and used to prevent a breakdown caused due to oil contamination.
  • Screen Filter – It is also known as strainer filter. Screen filter is used during the manufacturing process. It comprises of a removable basket that is cleaned out regularly to prevent the system from getting bogged.
